When I think about comfort food, I think of my asian roots. Growing up, there was never a shortage of amazing asian food in our home. Amongst all of Filipino food, one of my favorite meals was dim sum.
Dim sum has been popularized in the Philippines due to the influence of Chinese culture and has become a staple in many Filipino-Chinese households. I remember coming home from school and my mom heating up a siopao or siomai for snack. It was the definition of comfort food for me.
Dim sum is often served as a shared meal, which promotes social interaction and bonding among family and friends. I am so excited to showcase my culture and love for asian foods through this collection.
